The proceeds from the bingo benefit all children registered with KRA thus the responsibility to operate the bingos should rest with all as well.
Play For Free Program Bingo Sessions
Families of parents enrolled in KRA’s Play For Free program (hereinafter referred to as P4F) have signed a legal agreement to volunteer at two (2) bingo sessions. The first bingo session must be completed on or before December 31, 2019. The second session must be completed on or before July 31, 2020. Failure to meet this commitment will immediately require the P4F family to owe to KRA the “New To Sport” rate at the age group applicable to their child.
If a P4F family misses their scheduled bingo session, a $50 fine will be assigned to the P4F family, payable to KRA within seven (7) days. If another bingo session is scheduled to replace the missed session, no additional penalties are assigned. If another bingo session is not committed to, the P4F family will be required to pay the “New To Sport” rate at the age group applicable to their child in addition to the $50 fine.
[WITH THE SHUTDOWN DUE TO COVID-19, THERE WILL BE NO FINES LEVIED FOR FAMILIES THAT WERE UNABLE TO FUFIL THEIR OBLIGATIONS]
Other Assigned Bingo Sessions
Other vacant bingo spots are to be filled by volunteers from the association. All families pay a fee of $50.00 upon registration to all KRA programs, and the individual completing the bingo will be reimbursed $25/session, up to a maximum of the fee paid. If spaces are not filled voluntarily, they will be assigned to a team. Team manager/Bench staff can contact KRA’s Bingo Coordinator to volunteer for assignable spots. Should you be unable to work the date you signed up for or were assigned it will be your team's responsibility to find a replacement. As per a motion carried at the KRA Board Meeting on August 25th, 2014, a charge of $50.00 will be payable immediately by the offending team should there be a no show. If you cannot make your date, you must find a replacement. The $50.00 fee MUST be paid in full to KRA within Seven (7) days. Failure to pay the fine will result in that team losing assigned ice times.
