Springette 2024

First off...WOW!  What a number of registrations we had for the Springette program this year!  In previous years we played with 2 ice times plus one training hour, then we expanded to 3 ice times, but our waiting lists grew so much this year that we were able to expand this to an individual ice time per age group!  That's FIVE ice times per week of Springette! We were very fortunate that the City happened to have open ice on both Sportsworld pads.

To make this work, though, we need parents to step forward and help out!  We need people on the bench doors and on the shot clock.  Please be sure to find the organizer each week and ask where you can help. To keep Springette organized, we've added a section to our website with the Springette info (http://kitchenerringette.com/division/0/28804) and roster-linked team pages with all the players listed so you know who else is going to be at your session.

At this point if you were on a waiting list to start you should have been moved to the active program. Please be sure to send in your fees so you can hit the ice next week.  You can pay through the registration portal (with an extra service charge to cover credit card costs), or via eTransfer to treasurer@kitchenerringette.com.  If sending an eTransfer, please note your player name so that we can associate it properly in our records.

With the expansion of groups the updated ice times looks like this (all at SportsWorld):

FUN3 (2014-15)

6:00pm

U12 (2012-13)

6:15pm

U16 (2008-09)

7:15pm

U19 (2005-07)

**There will be one exception for this for one week.  For May 17th ONLY:

Note that some players were registered for the wrong age group and most have been moved to the time slot that matches their year of birth outlined in the tables above.  Rosters are on our website, under the Springette 2024 tab (where you would normally find your team page and roster).

Some more housekeeping items as we prepare for Springette...

  • If your player did not play during the 2023-2024 season, they will have to pay an additional Ringette Ontario fee for insurance coverage. Please let me know if this applies to you and we haven't already discussed it.
  • Please be sure to bring both a white and a dark jersey each week. Teams may be mixed up from week to week depending on who comes out, balance of team, etc.

That should be it for now.  If you have any questions, please reach out to me at secretary@kitchenerringette.com.

Thanks, and see you at the rink!

Neil
